lyrics
I saw a pretty girl outside my window
It was around, oh, quarter to nine
If I had to guess I’d say she was on her way from work
Her pencil skirt looked so nice
So I gathered up some courage,
And followed from a few steps behind
I couldn’t muster up the guts to even say, “Good Morning,”
But, I guess that’s fine.
‘Cuz there’s always tomorrow.
I woke up a little late, looked out my window
and couldn’t find that girl so fine
I thought, “Maybe she got some coffee,
Maybe she’s running late too. Hell, it’s only ten past nine.”
So I put on a decent shirt
And headed on out the door without a shave
As I stepped outside I walked right into her
The way luck works is strange
So I said, “Good Morning.”
Isn’t it funny what happens when you throw caution to the wind?
You’ll find a part of yourself that’s buried deep within.
